Goddess Worship — Vedic Puja Vidhi
Navratri Puja
Navratri Puja is the grandest Devi festival celebrated twice a year — Chaitra Navratri in spring and Sharad Navratri in autumn — spanning nine nights of worship dedicated to the nine manifestations of Goddess Durga. Each day, one form of the Devi is worshipped: Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri. The puja includes fasting, recitation of Durga Saptashati, Kanya Puja on Ashtami or Navami, and elaborate offerings of red flowers, sindoor, and coconut.
