Your Birth Chart, Your Data

Birth Details You Enter

The date, time, and place of birth you type into our Jyotish calculators are sent to our server only to compute your chart in real time. The computation produces planetary longitudes, nakshatra placements, Vimshottari dasha periods, and varga divisions, which are returned to your browser and then discarded from server memory. Birth details are never written to our database unless you explicitly save a chart to an account that you have logged into. If you have not signed in, nothing is stored.

Saved Charts and Accounts

If you create an account and choose to save a chart, the birth details associated with that chart are stored against your user record so you can reopen it later. You can delete any saved chart from your account page, and you can request full account and data deletion by emailing us. Deletion is final and typically completes within seven days.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, which records aggregate, privacy-friendly page view data (country, device type, page path, referrer). Vercel Analytics does not use cross-site tracking cookies and does not build a personal profile of you. No birth data is ever passed to analytics.

Third Parties

VedicBirth is hosted on Vercel and served through Cloudflare, which act as data processors for infrastructure and delivery. If and when Google AdSense approval is granted, contextual advertising may appear on content pages; AdSense may set its own cookies subject to Google's published policies. No Jyotish inputs or outputs are shared with advertising networks.

Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act 2023)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or India, you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete any personal data we hold about you. Indian users are additionally protected under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, which gives you the right to nominate a representative and the right to grievance redressal. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@vedicbirth.com with the subject line matching your request.

Children

VedicBirth is intended for users aged sixteen and above. Kundli generated for a child should only be entered by a parent or guardian, and we do not knowingly retain identifiable data about minors.

Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Our core commitment that unsaved birth details never touch persistent storage will not change.
