Goddess Worship — Vedic Puja Vidhi
Mahalakshmi Puja
Mahalakshmi Puja worships the supreme form of Goddess Lakshmi as Mahalakshmi — the divine mother who embodies all three aspects of wealth: material prosperity (Dhana Lakshmi), spiritual abundance (Moksha Lakshmi), and auspiciousness (Shubha Lakshmi). This elaborate puja is performed on Kojagari Purnima (Sharad Purnima), during Navratri, and on the Fridays of Shravan month. The ritual involves Shodashopachara (sixteen-fold worship), recitation of Shri Sukta, Mahalakshmi Ashtakam, and the Kanakadhara Stotra composed by Adi Shankaracharya.
