Ekadashi Fasts — Hindu Sacred Fast
Papankusha Ekadashi Vrat
Papankusha Ekadashi falls on the Shukla Ekadashi of the Ashwin month (September–October) and is one of the most powerful Ekadashis for washing away sins. The name derives from "Papa" (sin) and "Ankusha" (goad/hook) — the fast acts as a hook that pulls devotees out of the cycle of sin and rebirth. Observing this Ekadashi is said to destroy sins committed knowingly and unknowingly across multiple lifetimes and ensure a place in Vishnu's realm (Vaikuntha).
