Lalita Puja
Lalita Puja is the sacred worship of Goddess Lalita Tripura Sundari — one of the ten Mahavidyas and the presiding deity of the Sri Vidya tradition. She is depicted as a radiant goddess seated on the Pancha Brahma throne, holding a sugarcane bow, flower arrows, a noose, and a goad. The Sri Chakra (Sri Yantra) is her geometric form and the focal point of Lalita puja. Her thousand names — the Lalita Sahasranama from the Brahmanda Purana — are among the most celebrated hymns in the Shakta tradition.

Step-by-Step Procedure
Set up a clean altar facing east. Place a Sri Yantra (Sri Chakra) as the central object of worship alongside a Lalita image or idol. Offer panchamrit abhishek to the yantra. Decorate with red flowers (especially roses and hibiscus), kumkum, and fragrant incense. Light a ghee lamp. Recite the Lalita Ashtottara (108 names) or the full Lalita Sahasranama (1000 names). Offer red fruits (pomegranate, apple) and sweets made with milk. Conclude with Lalita aarti and meditate on the form of the goddess.

Navratri (both Chaitra and Sharad) is the most powerful time. Fridays, Purnima (full moon), and Ashtami tithi are ideal throughout the year. The month of Ashwin (Sharad Navratri) is especially sacred for Sri Vidya worship.
