Goddess Worship — Vedic Puja Vidhi
Karva Chauth Puja
Karva Chauth is a sacred one-day fast observed by married Hindu women for the long life, health, and well-being of their husbands. Celebrated on the fourth day after the full moon in the month of Kartik, women fast from sunrise to moonrise without food or water. The evening puja involves worshipping Goddess Parvati, listening to the Karva Chauth Katha, and breaking the fast after sighting the moon through a sieve while looking at their husband's face.

Benefits
Karva Chauth Puja blesses married women with an unbreakable bond of love and loyalty with their spouse. It is believed to bestow long life and good health upon the husband, strengthen marital harmony, and invoke the divine grace of Goddess Parvati for a fulfilling married life. The fast is also said to purify the devotee's mind and deepen spiritual commitment within the marriage.
Step-by-Step Procedure
Begin by taking a pre-dawn meal (Sargi) given by the mother-in-law before sunrise. Observe a strict nirjala (waterless) fast throughout the day. In the evening, gather with other women, dress in bridal finery, and perform the puja by placing an earthen pot (karva), a diya, and offerings of flowers and sweets before an image or idol of Goddess Parvati. Listen to or recite the Karva Chauth Katha. After moonrise, sight the moon through a sieve, then look at your husband's face through the same sieve. The husband offers water to break the fast, followed by the evening meal.
