What is Rasi Porutham?
Rasi Porutham checks moon sign compatibility. Count from bride's rashi to groom's rashi. Certain positions (2-12, 6-8) are considered inauspicious, similar to Bhakoot Dosha in the North Indian system. The 5-9, 7-7, and same-rashi positions are considered auspicious.
How to Calculate
Count from bride's moon rashi to groom's moon rashi. Positions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 from groom to bride (and vice versa) have specific auspicious and inauspicious readings. 6-8 axis is the most problematic. Same rashi and 7-7 axis are good.
