Ekadashi Fasts — Hindu Sacred Fast
Papmochani Ekadashi Vrat
Papmochani Ekadashi falls on the Krishna Paksha Ekadashi of Chaitra month (March–April), just before the Hindu New Year. "Papmochani" means "destroyer of sins," and this Ekadashi is considered supremely powerful for erasing all accumulated sins — including the gravest ones — before the new year begins. The Bhavishya Purana narrates how sage Medhavi was freed from sin by observing this vrat.
