Step-by-Step Procedure
Take a bath and wear clean yellow or white clothes. Sit facing east or north on a clean asana. Place Vishnu image or shaligram. Light a ghee lamp and offer tulsi leaves, yellow flowers, and panchamrit. Recite the Vishnu Sahasranama with devotion, pausing to contemplate the meaning of each name. Perform aarti at the end. For added benefit, recite on Ekadashi or Saturdays.
