Vishnu & Vaishnava — Vedic Puja Vidhi

Narasimha Puja

Deity Lord Narasimha (Man-Lion Avatar of Vishnu)
Duration 1–1.5 hours including kavacham and mantra japa
Category Vishnu & Vaishnava

Narasimha Puja is the worship of Lord Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Vishnu who appeared as a half-man, half-lion form to protect his devotee Prahlada and slay the demon king Hiranyakashipu. This avatar embodies divine courage, fierce protection, and the triumph of devotion over tyranny. Narasimha emerged from a pillar at twilight — a moment that was neither day nor night — demonstrating that the divine transcends all limitations. Worship of Narasimha is especially powerful for destroying evil, removing fear, and granting fearlessness to sincere devotees.
