Shiva Worship — Vedic Puja Vidhi
Nag Panchami Puja
Nag Panchami Puja is the sacred worship of the Nag Devatas — the divine serpent deities — performed on the fifth day (Panchami) of the bright fortnight of Shravan month. Serpents hold a revered place in Hindu cosmology: Shiva wears the serpent Vasuki around his neck, Vishnu rests on Shesha Nag, and the earth is said to rest on Ananta. On this day, devotees offer milk, flowers, and prayers to living snakes or clay and silver serpent images. The puja is especially potent for removing Kaal Sarp Dosha in the birth chart and ensuring protection for the family from snake bites and reptile-related fears.
