Pradosh Vrat
Pradosh Vrat is observed on the 13th day (Trayodashi) of both lunar fortnights during the Pradosh Kaal — the 3-hour period around sunset when Shiva performs his cosmic dance (Tandava). Devotees fast through the day and perform Shiva puja during this twilight window. Shiv Pradosh is said to be especially powerful for granting all desires and removing planetary afflictions.

Procedure
Wake early, bathe, and observe fast. Visit Shiva temple in the evening during Pradosh Kaal. Perform Rudrabhishek if possible. Chant Om Namah Shivaya 108 times. Offer bilva leaves, milk, and flowers. Perform aarti. Break fast after puja.

24 times per year — 13th of both Shukla and Krishna Paksha. Saturday Pradosh (Shani Pradosh) is especially potent.

No grains or salt. Milk, fruits, and sabudana are permitted. Some observe complete fast (nirjala). Avoid non-vegetarian food, alcohol, and tobacco.
How to Break the Fast
Break fast after completing Pradosh puja during sunset period. Eat sattvik prasad first.
