5 Mukhi Rudraksha – Most Auspicious & Common Bead

The 5 Mukhi Rudraksha is the most commonly found and widely used of all Rudraksha varieties, accounting for the majority of beads used in malas and prayer strings. It is the form of Kalagni Rudra — one of the eleven Rudras — and is governed by Jupiter, the planet of wisdom, dharma, expansion, and fortune. Because of Jupiter's benevolent nature, the 5 Mukhi is considered safe and beneficial for virtually everyone, regardless of their zodiac sign or planetary placements.

The five faces represent the Panchabhutas (five elements) — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether — as well as the five faces of Shiva: Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha, and Ishana. Wearing it keeps all five elements in balance within the body and mind, which classical Ayurveda associates with optimal health and longevity.
