Car Puja (Vahana Puja)
Car Puja, also known as Vahana Puja, is performed when purchasing a new vehicle to seek divine blessings for safe travel and protection from accidents. Lord Ganesha is worshipped as the remover of obstacles and the protector of journeys, while Vishwakarma Dev — the divine architect and craftsman — is invoked as the presiding deity of vehicles and machinery. The ceremony involves adorning the vehicle with flowers, applying tilak and kumkum, tying a lemon-chilli garland, and breaking a coconut.
