Frequently Asked Questions
Q.What is the difference between Shri Suktam and Lakshmi mantra?
The Shri Suktam is a complete hymn of 15 verses from the Rigveda specifically dedicated to Lakshmi — it is older and considered more powerful by traditional Vedic practitioners. The Lakshmi mantra (Om Shrim Mahalakshmiyai Namah) is a single seed mantra for easy daily practice. Purists use the Shri Suktam; those seeking a quicker daily practice use the Lakshmi mantra. For maximum effect, use the Shri Suktam with a homa (fire ritual) on Fridays.
