Swapna Shastra is the Vedic science of dream interpretation, with roots in texts like Brihat Samhita (6th century CE, Varahamihira) and Swapna Chintamani. Unlike modern psychology which treats dreams as purely subjective, Swapna Shastra classifies dreams into auspicious (Shubha Swapna), inauspicious (Ashubha Swapna), and neutral categories — each carrying specific messages and recommended remedies.
