Sri Rudram (also called Namakam-Chamakam) is a two-part Vedic hymn from the Krishna Yajurveda (Taittiriya Samhita). Namakam (8 anuvakams) propitiate Rudra through repeated "Namas" (bowing) to all his forms. Chamakam (11 anuvakams) asks for all blessings (Chamakam = "grant me this, and this"). The complete recitation takes 45-60 minutes and is considered the pinnacle of Shaiva Vedic practice.
