Meaning
Purifying the mirror of my mind with the dust of the lotus feet of the Guru, I describe the pure glory of Rama (Raghubar), the giver of the four fruits of life (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha). Knowing my body to be devoid of intelligence, I remember the Son of the Wind (Hanuman). O Hanuman — grant me strength, intelligence, and knowledge, and remove all afflictions and impurities.

The Hanuman Chalisa was composed by Goswami Tulsidas in the Awadhi language (a dialect of Hindi) in the 16th century CE. Tulsidas is famous for his Ramcharitmanas — the Hindi retelling of the Ramayana. Legend says he composed the Chalisa during imprisonment by Emperor Akbar, and Hanuman appeared to free him. It is written in the Awadhi style with 40 chaupais (four-line verses) framed by the opening and closing Dohas.
Q.Does reciting Hanuman Chalisa really remove Saturn's effects?
This is one of the most widely held beliefs in Indian astrology and devotion. The story behind it: when Shani (Saturn) attempted to trouble Rama's devotee, Hanuman caught Shani and held him. Shani promised not to trouble Hanuman's devotees severely during Sade Sati. Millions of practitioners swear by Tuesday and Saturday Hanuman Chalisa recitation as their primary Saturn remedy, reporting reduced difficulties and obstacles.
