The first is Shadashtaka (6-8 position) — when one partner's Moon sign is the 6th from the other's and conversely 8th from the first — classically the most severe, associated with health affliction, accidents, or reduced longevity of one partner. The second is Dwirdwadash (2-12 position) — one Rashi is the 2nd and the other the 12th — creating financial drain, emotional distance, and asset depletion over the course of the marriage. The third is Navam-Pancham (5-9 position) — which affects progeny, creativity, and the dharmic alignment between partners. Classical texts such as Muhurta Chintamani and Jataka Parijata describe Bhakoot as a measure of household prosperity, progeny, and emotional compatibility at the Rashi level.
